Edited: I’m so glad to start this new year with winning badge from rainbow craftykari’s December monthly challenge X-Mas joy.
Hope you are all doing great and having blast on this special occasion. We wish you all a merry Christmas.
(Note: If you don’t have stamps or necessary craft goodies, try to be creative in your kind of style with what you have. Don’t be disheartened 😊. Believe in yourself.)
Today I made a fairy christmas card to wish you all. Let’s go for show off.
First I made rough layout of how I wanted my card to look like. Below is the picture.
Since fairies are so small and elegant, they need to be made with delicate care. I made my two fairies out of felt. I thought to include some Christmas elements too in my card, so I made poinsettia flower as her costume and holly leaves for her wings. (Doesn’t my fairies look different..because they are Indian fairies lol). I had to go for light pink shade for her body instead of skin Color as I couldn’t find one for the time being. Still I’m so happy with the end results.
I made the hairs done using silk thread. For the first fairy I did curly hair using french knot. And added a little bow to her hair for elegant look.(I hope Mostly all of you are aware of french knot😊). Then I added magical wand to her hand to sparkle some fairy dust to all of your homes. She is bringing loads of joy to you and your family. Below is the closeup.
For my second fairy, I braided her hair and finished with a little bow.( Everything is hand made except the glittery holly leaves which I bought from Itsy bitsy store 😉). She is singing glory to the lord Jesus. May your hearts be filled with pleasant songs of enjoying the birth of Jesus, love and laughter (and of course stomach filled with Christmas cakes 😜). Here is the closer look.
I placed my fairies to the extreme corners diagonally of a white a card stock. Then I kept floral embossed white cardstock (isn’t it looks alike holly leaf shape?!)to the centre with foam tape to add interest to my card. I also edged my card with some gold dust to make it fairy much elegant. I hand wrote my sentiment and adhered using foam tape. Tada my card is ready.
I wish you all little merry fairy Christmas 😇😀😍. Below is my daughter’s take on my card 😀. I’m so amazed to see her drawings.
Hope you all enjoyed reading through my post. If anything interests then sparkle me some love dust so that i can return the same.
